Tipperary</p> <h2>Facility Function:</h2> <p>Mullenbawn pumping station pumps water from a borehole to a resevoir to supply freshwater for the surrounding area</p> <h2>Connection:</h2><img alt="Mullenbawn connection" src="/Images/Mullenbawn%20connection.JPG" /><br /><br /> <h2>Annual Energy Consumption:</h2> <p>The Site uses approx 420 Mwh per annum at approx €45,000</p> <h2>Main Energy Consuming Equipment</h2> <p>Mullenbawn has two large water pumps that operate at a pumping efficiency of 60%. There is a duty pump and a standby pump as the site runs 24/7.</p> <h2>Cost and Energy Savng Actions</h2> <p>1. Installation of a varible speed drive (completed in July 2007)</p> <li>The powerfactor of the site was very low inccuring approx 800 euro of wattless charges per annum.
